Ms. Schlegel is a Biomechanist  specializing in injury biomechanics, focusing on injury mechanisms and associated injury tolerances by analyzing the kinematics and kinetics of the human body during a specific event.

Her scientific research has been concentrated on human motion analysis and injury causation.


While attending Ohio State University, Ms. Schlegel designed and built a Hip Continuous Passive Motion Device to be used as at-home physical therapy for patients who have recently undergone labral tear surgery. This device is currently being used by clinicians at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
