The sports biomechanics department at ARCCA is composed of a team of doctorate-level senior biomechanists with a shared interest and expert knowledge of human movement and response as it relates to the athlete. Our analyses incorporate state-of-the-art equipment to gather biomechanical data to optimize the performance of athletic equipment such as helmets, pads, and guards for various sporting activities including hockey, baseball, football, and bicycling.
The biomechanics team also evaluates levels of protection afforded to players during dynamic impacts with their playing environments, as well as the levels of protection afforded to spectators attending sporting events. ARCCA is also dedicated to the optimization of athletic performance through biomechanical analyses of human movement and associated forces.
