Dr. Rentschler is a Senior Biomechanist specializing in the study of the forces and mechanics associated with injuries to the human body.  He has conducted studies to evaluate the kinematics and biomechanics of the human body during various events and circumstances and has participated in the development and testing of seating and restraint systems with both anthropomorphic test devices and human subjects.

Dr. Rentschler applies this work to all segments of the human body involved in collisions and other impact-producing events.

While at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Rentschler investigated the mechanism of orthopedic injuries.

Dr. Rentschler has also worked with the National Hockey League to research, develop and test designs to improve player safety.
