ARCCA was asked to investigate the cause of a high profile railing collapse at a major college football game that resulted in serious injury to a number of the attendees. A mechanical engineer investigated the railing and determined that the rail structural collapse was due to galvanic corrosion.
Our visual communications team developed a PowerPoint-based presentation incorporating video, photos, illustrations, documents and summary graphics. This presentation, which effectively conveyed the details of the incident, the metallurgical concept of galvanic corrosion, and the culpability of the responsible parties, was the first multimedia presentation to be used in an opening statement in Philadelphia’s new (at the time) “wired” courtroom.
