Alan Cantor is a vehicular crash expert and has worked in the research, testing and development of occupant seating systems, occupant restraint systems, and occupant crash protection devices for his entire career, beginning in 1972. During this time, he has developed full seating and restraint systems, conducted design efforts, evaluated system data, and conducted numerous crash and dynamic tests of such systems using both live human subjects and anthropomorphic test devices.
During the first half of his career, Mr. Cantor researched ways to reduce fatalities and major injuries to humans involved in crashes. He primarily applied this research to the development of occupant seating and restraint systems. The systems he worked on are still used today and have resulted in a significant reduction in fatalities and major injuries.
