Maritime Accident Investigation: Collision, Allision, Sinking & Grounding
ARCCA Expert, DR. TIMOTHY TRESIERRAS, P.E., CXLT, will be speaking on “Catastrophic Losses: Collision, Allision, Sinking & Grounding” at the American Bar Association’s Admiralty & Maritime Law Conference at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans on March 22nd at 10:35am.
Tim is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with ARCCA and, while based in our Coral Springs/Fort Lauderdale office, he is available to work on cases nationwide. In addition to specializing in Maritime Accident Investigation, his other specialties include: mechanical engineering, consumer product design/failure, heavy machinery failures, elevator/lift failures, slip/falls and tip overs, materials science, vibrational/acoustic analysis, and prototype design.
Previously, Tim taught at the University of Miami and also worked with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan to solve complex multidisciplinary problems utilizing technologies in RF transmission, welding and fabrication, computer networking, 3D printing, video/audio surveillance, automated milling (CNC), programmable microcontrollers, batteries and basic circuitry.
Recently, Tim has also had two articles published in CLM Magazine – one on appliance failures (Sept. 2018) and the other in December 2018 on injury claims from unsafe toys.
