This course discussion will take a full life cycle approach on how the ramifications of some structural and product failures can include injuries, broken equipment, and damaged property. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the concept of how a product or structure fails and the injury mechanism’s critical role in determining a cause and effect relationship to the incident and injuries. Failure analysis & biomechanical experts will go over basic principles and case examples to illustrate how a failure happened, discuss the injuries claimed, and provide valuable insight that will educate the participant on how to assist in their claim or litigation.
