ARCCA’s Senior Accident Reconstructionist Joseph Teitelman, B.S.M.E., ACTAR will be presenting at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society , Delaware Valley Chapter’s April Meeting on April 21st from 6:00-8:30PM. Mr. Teitelman will be presenting ‘Vehicle Autonomy: Human Factors and Accident Reconstruction’ and will be covering new advancements in driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technology. The growing number of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) available in modern vehicles will be discussed and the crucial role that these developments play in accident investigation and reconstruction will be explored. Mr. Teitelman’s presentation will also cover how human factors relates to vehicle autonomy and will address the steps necessary to investigate an accident involving vehicles equipped with ADAS technology.

Mr. Joseph Teitelman is a Senior Accident Reconstructionist at ARCCA. His work includes the investigation and analysis of motor vehicle, motorcycle, pedestrian, and bicycle collisions. He has training and expertise with highly autonomous vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and is experienced in the evaluation and testing of these technologies. Mr. Teitelman is accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR #3858) and is an active researcher in the field whose peer-reviewed work has been published by both the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and “Collision Magazine”. Mr. Teitelman earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Temple University, where he was a Presidential Scholar and a member of Temple University’s Honors Program.
