In addition to being a premier expert in seat belts and restraint systems, Mike was previously a Navy aerospace engineer. When he joined ARCCA, he continued his work with the US military to design safety systems such as seats, restraint systems, airbags and ejection seats, which are still used in military jet aircraft today. While at ARCCA, he has performed work for the NHL on various ways to improve player safety, such as helmets, skates, padding and rink design.
