ARCCA’s team of accident reconstruction experts remain on the cutting edge of industry trends by participating in ongoing testing and research into new and developing technologies. A growing area of interest has been the emerging category of advanced vehicle data accessible in modern cars. Led by accident reconstruction expert Joseph Teitelman, our recent research efforts have culminated in an article titled “Toyota Vehicle Control History: ‘Sudden Braking History’ Recording Characteristics”, which has been published in the new issue of Collision Magazine. The article focuses on a new and exciting data recording functionality which is specific to Toyota and Lexus brand vehicles.

Mr. Teitelman is a Senior Accident Reconstructionist. His work includes the investigation and analysis of motor vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle collisions. In addition to accident reconstruction, he is also certified and proficient in EDR (Black box) imaging and analysis, 3-D Laser Scanning, sightline analyses, scene documentation/diagramming and forensic video analyses. He performs vehicle, site, and evidence inspections and also investigates enhanced damages, staged collisions, and phantom vehicle incidents.
