Slips, trips and falls occur on a regular basis and for a variety of reasons. Angela DiDomenico, PhD, a Senior Biomechanist and Certified Professional Ergonomist at ARCCA, will discuss the causative factors involved in slip, trip and fall events via a webinar to be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 1 pm EST. The NASP (National Association of Subrogation Professionals) will be hosting the webinar.
Dr. DiDomenico’s presentation will show how biomechanical injury analyses are used to address both damages (i.e. whether the claimed injuries occurred in the described event) and liability (i.e. whether a purported defect was proximate to the fall).
Angela specializes in the study of human factors, forces and the mechanics associated with human injury. Her academic background and professional experience represent a unique combination of knowledge in slips, trips and falls, occupational biomechanics, human factors, construction, general worksite safety, live subject kinematic and kinetic testing, and human anatomy. She is also experienced in accident investigations involving workplace injuries, ladder safety and falls from scaffolding, and her work includes site and equipment inspections, applicable code compliance, testing, injury causation and tolerance analyses.
