Don’t Miss Expert Dave Gushue’s Presentation At The Rims Conference In April!
Dave Gushue, Ph.D. is the VP and Director of Biomechanics at ARCCA, where he uses his expertise in biomechanical engineering to analyze injuries and associated causation. He will be co-presenting “The Anatomy of an Injury: What You See May Not Be What You Get” with David Hershey, Corporate Risk Manager at Axel Johnson Inc., on April 25th at 2:45 pm during the RIMS Annual Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
When you have a case or claim involving bodily injury it is important to investigate causation, which is essential when determining whether the person’s injury was work-related or from Sunday softball. Were the injuries consistent with trauma or degenerative disc disease? Dave will explain how biomechanical engineers can help answer those questions. He’ll also be discussing the biomechanical engineering analysis of injuries emanating from Workers Compensation, Premises Liability and Low-Speed Impact claims, as well as how the Daubert/Frye Challenge can affect your case from investigation to trial.
Dr. Gushue has served as a consultant for the United States Military, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and various professional sports organizations, including the National Hockey League (NHL), where he has researched, developed and tested designs to improve player safety.
We hope you can join Dave on April 25th! If you’re not attending RIMS, contact us about scheduling a complimentary presentation by one of our experts at your office location.
