Dr. Gushue is the Director of Biomechanics specializing in the study of the forces and mechanics associated with injuries to the human body.

Dr. Gushue applies this work to all segments of the human body involved in collisions and other impact-producing events.

While at the University of Rochester, Dr. Gushue was involved in research programs related to knee injuries and prosthetic devices. In addition he participated in studies related to shoulder and spine biomechanics.

Dr. Gushue is the lead biomechanic working with the National Hockey League to research, develop and test designs to improve player safety.
