A fundamental method for establishing delta-V is to determine the amount of crush that occurs to a vehicle and then compare it to the amount of crush that occurs under controlled test conditions. In many instances, ARCCA uses its 3D laser scanner to quickly and accurately document the crushed condition of the subject vehicle. This data can then be used in a number of ways to determine the amount of crush. Often this is done by comparison to an undamaged vehicle.

Once the evidence is scanned, a number of possible exhibits can also be quickly and cost efficiently generated such as 3D overlays, views from virtually any perspective (including interior and overhead) and even ‘fly-by’ or ‘fly-through’ videos for use in mediation, settlement meetings, exhibits and/or trial.
